Mahabubabad: Vankudothu Malsoru, who hails from a remote Mullamarri thanda of Maripeda mandal in the district, was awarded PhD from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, for thesis titled “Incremental Discovery of Patterns for Large and Dynamic Sequential Data”.
Malsoru, who is presently working as the Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at the CMR Technical Campus in Hyderabad, did his research under the supervision of Dr AR Naseer, Professor, Department of the CSE, INAH University, Incheon, South Korea, and Dr G Narsimha, (co-supervisor), Professor of the CSE, and Vice-Principal, JNTUH College of Engineering, Sulthanpur of Pulkal mandal of Sangareddy district. He presented his research paper at a conference organised by the International Association of Engineers (IAENG) in London.
Son of Deepla and Mangli Naik, a humble family from Mullamarri thanda, Malsoru did his schooling from Thanamcherla government school near his thanda and obtained BTech from CBIT, Hyderabad, and M.Tech from JNTUH. He has been teaching computer science for the last two decades. District standing committee chairperson Tejavath Sarada Ravindranath Naik, and several other tribal community leaders have congratulated Malsoru for getting the PhD from the JNTUH through sheer hardwork, and passion for studies.
