Telangana: Mancherial college bags Green Champion award
The national-level Green Champion Award is for making outstanding efforts to increase greenery, to maintain outstanding sanitation measures.
Mancherial: Vivekavardhini Degree and Postgraduate College, a private educational institution of Mancherial town, won the national-level Green Champion Award for making outstanding efforts to increase greenery, to maintain outstanding sanitation measures.
Collector Bharati Hollikeri handed over the award to Srinivas, the principal of the college and Dr Chandramohan Udari, the district convener of the National Service Scheme (NSS) here on Monday.
Bharati said that the college was chosen for the honor among the 300 nominations received from across the country. She stated that it bagged the award for taking up a slew of activities through the NSS programme for the past three years. She congratulated the management of the institution and convener of NSS for winning the award.
