Mancherial: A young crusader of organ donation and welfare of animals from this town wanted to explore solo travelling. However, he went on to set a record by successfully completing the longest non-repetitive motorcycle expedition spanning nearly 41,000 kilometres and covering all States and a Union Territory in just 96 days.

Meet Konda Siddharth, who received a certificate of recognition for his rare feat — youngest and fastest ride — from the Asia Book of Records recently and that too without any sponsors. He was one of the three riders to accomplish the marathon trip feat in the world. He has already etched his name on the India Book of Records and wants to enter his name in the Guinness Book of Records soon.

“I dreamt of it, and I achieved it. It’s a surreal experience,” Siddharth terms his achievement. He said it took around a year to formally earn recognition from the international publication though he completed the feat in 2023 due to the complicated process of entering his name in the publication.

The 27-year-old share trader from Hi-Tech City colony of the town rode his adventure bike, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, and covered 40,708.5 km distance within 96 days. He visited 28 States and 2,731 places without repeating any route. He revealed that he drew inspiration to explore travelling and solitude from reading books and watching films.

This polytechnic diploma dropout shared that he initially aimed to wander around the country in three years. He thanked his guide Vimalesh of Mancherial town for guiding and extending support to his mission. He was planning to create awareness over the two causes of organ donation and animal welfare among the public soon with the help of his achievement.

Siddharth had embarked on the journey on February 17 in 2023. He returned home on June 4. He recalled that he underwent a tough phase in the ride in Ladakh when the traffic came to a standstill in the snowy region for two weeks. He stated that he was not diagnosed with any illness during the risky journey.

The biker imported a special helmet from Germany and was carrying collar ties to tie to stray animals to prevent road mishaps, besides a camping tent, medical kit, accessories of motorbike, sleeping bag and camera. He recently pursued a fire safety related course from an institute in the United States.
