Telangana: Police nab fake journalist for blackmailing Nalgonda CI
A group of fake journalists has been exposed for targeting police officers in Nalgonda district. They have been threatening officers, claiming they would expose alleged misconduct unless their demands were met.
Nalgonda: A group of fake journalists has been exposed for targeting police officers in Nalgonda district. They have been threatening officers, claiming they would expose alleged misconduct unless their demands were met.
The gang demanded Rs 5 lakhs from a Circle Inspector (CI), who eventually gave in to the pressure and handed over Rs.1.10 lakhs through a friend. However, the threats continued, and they demanded the remaining Rs 4 lakhs.
Unable to bear the blackmail any longer, the CI reported the matter to his superiors. Following their orders, the police started an investigation and managed to arrest one member of the gang. Authorities are now searching for the remaining members.
