Hyderabad: Divakonda Narayana Rao, father of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), Telangana Publications Private Ltd, Divakonda Damodar Rao, has passed away at his residence in Banjara Hills on Thursday morning. He was 92.
Hailing from Muddunur village in Karimnagar district, Narayana Rao was Chairman for single window Primary Agriculture Co-operative Society (PACS) for several years. His peers from Karimnagar were former Ministers Juvvadi Ratnakar Rao and Rajeshwar Rao.
Narayana Rao is survived by two sons Damodar Rao and Venkateshwar Rao and three daughters Aruna, Leela and Arundhati.
State Finance Minister T Harish Rao, former MP KVP Ramachandra Rao, IG Prabhakar Rao, RTI Commissioner Katta Shekhar Reddy, member of Telangana Bar Council Gandra Mohan Rao, Chairman of Prathima Group Srinivasa Rao, MD of Aditya homes Kota Reddy, Yashoda Hospitals MD Surender Rao, Juvvadi Narasinga Rao, general secretary of All India Velama Association, Puskuru Srikanth Rao and several other noted personalities visited the residence of CMD, Telangana Publications, Divakonda Damodar Rao to extend their condolences to the bereaved family members pay respects to the departed soul.
Several noted personalities and friends also expressed their condolences over the demise of Narayana Rao on Twitter. GHMC Mayor, Gadwal Vijaylakshmi tweeted, “My deepest condolences to Damodar Rao garu on sudden demise of his father Narayana Rao garu. May his soul rest in peace and my thoughts and prayers are with the family”.
Later, on Thursday afternoon, the last rites of late Narayana Rao were performed by his son Damodar Rao at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills.
