Bhongir: A delegation of leaders from Ramannapet led by BJP mandal president P Durgaiah called on the Union Minister G Kishan Reddy in Hyderabad on Sunday and urged him to ensure that the Adani’s Ambuja factory proposed in the district was stalled.

The residents of Ramannapet mandal have unanimously opposed the establishment of an Ambuja Cement factory in their area.

The locals, who primarily depend on agriculture and traditional occupations for their livelihood, have expressed severe concerns about the potential impact on their future.

The local leaders explained to the Union Minister that the establishment of the cement factory would jeopardize the lives of the residents, who are already facing significant challenges.
