Telangana records 1801 new Covid cases, 16 deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana has reported 1,801 new Covid infections and 16 fatalities on Sunday, taking the cumulative number of deaths to 3,263 and the total number of positive cases to 5,75, 827.The number of active cases in Telangana, as on Sunday evening, stood at 35,042.
Between Saturday and Sunday, authorities conducted 61,053 Covid rapid tests of which results of 1,456 samples are awaited. On Sunday, 3,660 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 93.34 per cent. So far, a total of 1,50,89,049 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 5,75,827 have tested positive and 5,37,522 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included from five Adilabad, 75 from Bhadradri, 390 from areas under GHMC, 49 from Jagitial, 15 from Jangaon, 29 from Bhupalpally, 25 from Gadwal, four from Kamareddy, 92 from Karimnagar, 82 from Khammam, nine from Asifabad, 69 from Mahabubnagar, 60 from Mahabubabad, 47 from Mancherial, 15 from Medak, 101 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, 38 from Nagarkurnool, 45 from Nalgonda, 10 from Narayanpet, three from Nirmal, 19 from Nizamabad, 68 from Peddapalli, 26 from Sircilla, 114 from Rangareddy, 68 from Sangareddy, 76 from Siddipet, 29 from Suryapet, 50 from Vikarabad, 55 from Wanaparthy, 61 from Warangal Rural, 54 from Warangal Urban and six from Bhongir.
