Telangana Secretariat to have facial recognition attendance system from Thursday
The recording of attendance of all regular Secretariat officers and employees, including the staff working on outsourcing basis of all departments, for whom payments are being made from the Secretariat Heads of accounts, will be through the facial recognition system with effect from December 12.
Hyderabad: The State government will introduce a facial recognition system to record the attendance of employees working at the Secretariat from Thursday.
Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari on Wednesday issued an order to this effect. As per the order, the recording of attendance of all regular Secretariat officers and employees, including the staff working on outsourcing basis of all departments, for whom payments are being made from the Secretariat Heads of accounts, will be through the facial recognition system with effect from December 12.
The order also said that attendance had to be recorded at the time of entry in the morning and at the time of leaving the office. In case of any issues with regard to recording of attendance, the officers and staff have to contact the staff on duty at the entry points or message or WhatsApp to numbers for resolving the same instantly.
All departments have been asked to maintain the physical attendance system till December 13.
