Telangana SSC students make history with 95.15 percent pass rate

Hyderabad: In a historic first, Telangana has recorded an overall 95.15 pass percentage in the SSC Public Examinations 2026 results declared here on Wednesday.
A total of 5,16,815 regular students appeared and 4,91,774 passed, translating into pass percentage to 95.15, a 2.37 percent increase compared to last year. This is the first time in Telangana SSC Board’s history that such a high pass percentage has been registered.
In the last four years, the pass percentage stood at 90 in 2022, 86 in 2023, 91.31 in 2024 and 92.78 in 2025. Only during the Covid-19 pandemic, a 100 percent result had been achieved as the State government passed all students without holding the examinations.
The results were declared by Advisor to Government K Keshava Rao, Secretary, Education department, Dr. Yogita Rana, School Education director Dr. E Naveen Nicolas and Director of Government Exams PV Srihari, were hosted on the website https://bse.telangana.gov.in/.
This year, a total of 5,28,309 students, including regular students and once failed candidates, registered for the Class X exams. Of the total, 5,26,166 students appeared and 4,97,312 passed the examinations.
Girls continued to outperform boys. A total of 2,56,337 girls recorded a pass percentage of 96.26, while 2,60,478 boys got 94.07 percent.
As many as 5,731 schools achieved a 100 percent pass percentage, while six private schools recorded zero percent pass rate. The institutions that achieved 100 percent passes include 2,517 private schools, 2,065 Zilla Parishad High Schools (ZPHS), 290 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), 197 BC Welfare residential schools, 152 Social Welfare residential schools and 65 government schools.
The School Education department has extended a provision to apply for recounting or re-verification of answer scripts via the website https://bse.telangana.gov.in between April 30 and May 14. The fee for recounting is Rs. 500, while Rs. 1,000 is charged for re-verification of one subject.
