Hyderabad: Hours after the families of the Saudi Arabia bus burning case protested against the “humiliatory” comment made by Telangana State Haj Committee executive officer Mohd Safiullah with regard to the bodies of 45 persons killed on Monday, the State government shunted him out.

On Tuesday afternoon, Mohd Safiullah, while interacting with the relatives of the bus accident victims, lost his cool and reportedly made insensitive remarks. His comments invited the ire of BRS party leaders including former Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali who were seated in the Haj Committee office to oversee the arrangements being made to send family members of the victims to Saudi Arabia. The video of Mohd Safiullah went viral on social media drawing criticism.

As a face-saving measure, Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) chairman Faheem Qureshi reached the Haj House building. He later said that the State government was serious about the incident and anyone misbehaving with the people will not be spared and shunted out.

The State government issued the orders and shifted Mohd Safiullah to Telangana GENCO, his parent department.
