The Telangana State Medical Council raided four unauthorised clinics in Kamareddy town, alleging that unqualified practitioners were administering injections and antibiotics. The council said criminal cases were being registered and urged the public to report illegal clinics and practitioners.

Hyderabad: Intensifying its statewide crackdown on illegal medical practices, the Telangana State Medical Council (TGMC) has raided multiple unauthorized clinics operating in Kamareddy town.
Led by TGMC Chairman Dr. K. Mahesh Kumar and Vice-Chairman Dr. T. Kiran Kumar, the team conducted surprise inspections to curb unqualified individuals illegally practicing allopathic medicine and endangering public health.
During inspections, TGMC team caught four unauthorized centers including Popular First Aid Center, old Bus stand area, managed by MD Gulam Dastagiri, Naresh First Aid Center, near Shanti Talkies managed by Naresh, Sri Sai First Aid Clinic opposite Shanti Talkies managed by M. Srinivas and Sri Sail First Aid Center at Sircilla road, managed by A. Shivaji Rao.
The Medical Council said that the establishments were unlawfully administering injections and antibiotics to patients, posing severe risks to public safety.
The TGMC Chairman and Vice-Chairman made it clear that strict criminal cases are being registered against the offenders under Section 22 of the Telangana Medical Practitioners Registration (TMPR) Act and Sections 34 and 54 of the National Medical Commission (NMC Act).
