Telangana: Student unions call junior colleges bandh for two days

Hyderabad: As about 51 per cent of the Intermediate students failed to clear the first-year exams in Telangana, student activists have called for a bandh of all junior colleges for two days from December 20 alleging that the Board failed in fairly conducting the evaluation.

While the National Students of Union of India (NSUI) gave a bandh call for colleges on Monday, members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) did so on Tuesday.

However, the board has stated that students who have failed first-year intermediate exams can repeat the forthcoming exams in April 2022.

If any student wishes to check his or her performance, he/she can apply for re-verification of any or all of their exam papers by paying requisite fees. The applicants will be provided scanned copies of their answer sheets after re-verification along with the result.
