Swaeros founder RS Praveen Kumar launches ‘Bhim Deeksha’ in Nelakondapalli mandal in Khammam district.
Khammam: BRS leader and Swaeros (Alumni of social welfare schools and colleges in Telangana) founder RS Praveen Kumar launched a ‘Bhim Deeksha’ at the Mujjugudem Boudha Stupam in Nelakondapalli mandal in the district on Saturday.
A large number of Swaeros members from across the State attended the programme and undertook the deeksha, which will conclude on April 14 marking Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Kumar said the deeksha was first started in 2013. The purpose of the deeksha was to unleash the latent potential of the youth, utilise it for the enlightenment of Swaeros and for the progress of the nation.
The Bhim Deeksha would continue throughout the State for a month considering it as a holy month and all the Swaeros would engage in knowledge gaining activities. They would visit the village and extend financial support to poor students, he said.
The deeksha aimed to encourage youths to draw inspiration from the achievements of great leaders to grow in life. There would be programmes such as Swaero Gyana Khadga Dharana, Swaero Power Names, Palle Basti Nidra, Book Reading, Bhaya Dahanam and others.
A pledge was administered and an ‘Aksharabhyasam’ for children was performed on the occasion.
