Telangana teachers’ body to launch protests from July 4 over PRC, NEP demands
The Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangam (TPUS) has announced a series of protests beginning July 4 to press for implementation of the National Education Policy (2020) and 51 per cent PRC fitment.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangam (TPUS) on Saturday announced a series of protests commencing July 4 over pending demands, including implementation of National Education Policy (2020) and PRC implementation with 51 percent fitment for all teachers and employees.
To begin with, the TPUS decided to hold protests at mandal and school levels on July 4, followed by district level sit-ins on July 14 and state-level dharna on July 22.
In a statement, TPUS president Vodnala Rajashekar and general secretary Telkalapalli Pentayya said these protests are aimed at pressing the government to address long-pending demands such as obtaining PRC report and its implementation.
Further, teachers demanded the government release all pending bills related to employees, teachers, and pensioners without further delay and sanction of six pending dearness allowances (DAs).
Extension of OPS to teachers recruited via DSC 2003, abolition of CPS and OPS restoration for all employees, release of Model School teachers salaries via 010 budget head account, release of school grants and funds for the Amma Adarsha Patashala scheme were among other demands.
