Telangana: TGCHE, Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India sign MoU
Tie-up aims at nurturing skilled workforce for pharma industry, aligning educational training with industry needs, ensuring that students are equipped with practical knowledge and competencies

Hyderabad: To nurture a skilled workforce tailored to meet the growing demands of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) sector, the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) and Bulk Drug Manufacturers Association of India (BDMAI) signed an MoU here on Saturday.
The objective of the agreement is to align educational training with industry needs, ensuring that students are equipped with the practical knowledge and competencies required in areas such as pharma manufacturing, R&D, quality control and assurance, and plant maintenance.
It will facilitate the development of industry-relevant curriculum and training programmes, besides offering skill-building initiatives, to enhance the employability of students.
TGCHE Chairman Prof V Balakista Reddy said the agreement will also facilitate students for internships, projects, placements and research pursuits.
Association president RK Agarwal said the pharma industry has been experiencing a growing demand for skilled professionals and the partnership would help prepare students to take on challenging roles in production and allied functions.
