Hyderabad: Setting an example for others, a young farmer has decided to payback to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who completed Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme and provided irrigation water to the farmer’s agricultural fields at Baddenapalli in Thangellapalli mandal of Rajanna Siricilla district.
He has not only decided to donate Rs 10,000 per crop season from his earnings to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and presented the first cheque to the Chief Minister himself.
On Friday, Pannala Srinivas Reddy approached the Chief Minister’s Office at Pragathi Bhavan and handed over the cheque for Rs 10,000 to Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao.
He informed that his agricultural income has increased considerably due to assured irrigation water supply to his farm lands.
Appreciating his gesture, Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao welcomed that several youngsters were giving up their jobs and taking up agriculture for their livelihood. “They are also cultivating commercial crops through innovative methods and increased their income levels significantly. These youth are not only self-employed, but also providing employment to a few more families,” he said.
He appreciated Srinivas Reddy for volunteering to contribute to the CMRF and hoped that his achievements will inspire many other youngsters.
