Ten injured as TSRTC bus falls off bridge in Utnoor

Around 10 passengers were injured when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus from Asifabad depot plunged off a bridge into a stream at Shyampur village in Utnoor mandal. Police launched rescue operations and began investigating the cause.

Adilabad: Around 10 passengers were injured after a bus of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation plunged off a bridge into a stream at Shyampur village in Utnoor mandal early Monday morning.

Police said the bus, operated from the Asifabad depot, fell into the stream on the outskirts of the village, leaving several passengers injured.

The injured were shifted to a government hospital in the Utnoor mandal headquarters for treatment. On receiving information, police personnel rushed to the spot and initiated rescue operations.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
