The trouble started when the Congress workers shouted slogans and played songs on loudspeakers during the BRS campaign in the area. When BRS leaders urged the Congress workers to reduce the volume of their loudspeakers, the latter physically assaulted the BRS workers.

The BRS leaders escaped from the spot to save themselves from the attack. The local people and reporters present there filmed the assault on BRS workers. The police who were present at the spot tried to disperse the groups, without much success.

Two BRS workers suffered injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment. Additional police forces were rushed to the spot to control the situation. The BRS leaders urged the police to take action against the Congress workers including the district leader Vajresh Yadav for fomenting trouble.
