TGCHE calls on youth to gain from PMIS internships
The Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy has encouraged students to apply for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS), which offers structured industry exposure and skill development opportunities.

Hyderabad: Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE ) Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy on Wednesday urged students to apply for the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) and derive maximum benefit from the scheme.
Prof. Reddy emphasised the importance of the PMIS initiative in providing valuable industry exposure and practical learning opportunities to students across Telangana.
He highlighted that such programmes play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, thereby enhancing employability and skill development among youth.
Prof. Reddy, along with Registrar of Companies Satyapal Singh and Commissioner of Industries J Nikhil Chakravarthi among other officials released the PMIS – Round III Pilot Project Extension brochure here.
The PMIS aims to provide structured internship opportunities to students, enabling them to gain hands-on experience, develop professional competencies, and prepare for future career pathways.
Candidates between 18 and 25 years may apply for an internship, which will have a duration of six months or nine months. A maximum of three applications per student will be allowed.
