TGSP protesters face suspension of 39 personnel amid ongoing agitation

To maintain discipline and integrity within the TGSP, personnel involved in misconduct were suspended for behavior deemed unbecoming of government servants, including inciting agitation among Battalion members. The suspended individuals included members from the Battalions of Ibrahimpatnam, Mamnoor, Chalvai, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Anneparthy, Mancherial, and Sircilla.

Hyderabad: Instead of their grievances being redressed, the protesting personnel of TGSP saw 39 of them being suspended.A statement issued here on Sunday announced the suspension of ‘TGSP Personnel for Misconduct and Incitement of Agitation’ and added that for the last few days, some TGSP personnel had conducted themselves in agitations inside the Battalion campus as well as on streets of several places including Hyderabad in Telangana.

To uphold discipline and integrity within the TGSP, the personnel involved in misconduct were placed under suspension for unbecoming of government servants, including incitement of others for agitation among Battalion personnel, it read. The list of suspended included personnel from the Battalions of Ibrahimpatnam, Mamnoor, Chalvai, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Anneparthy, Mancherial and Sircilla. The suspended personnel were charged of instigated unrest within the Battalion, adversely affecting morale and operational efficiency. The Telangana Police remains committed to maintaining strict discipline within its ranks and taking corrective measures against any misconduct. A thorough investigation is underway, it said.

In the meantime, senior officials have been directed to closely monitor Battalion activities and ensure a positive working environment. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against any personnel found violating conduct rules, the police department statement cautioned.
