French Fries are considered to be the best potato dish ever discovered. One bite of this salty and crispy potato snack is so heavenly that it makes our evening the best. But imagine paying a whopping $200 (Rs 14,928 approximately) for a plate of French Fries?
This famous restaurant in New York called Serendipity3 has now created a record-breaking version of the fries that has even been noted by the Guinness Book of World Records.
On National French Fry Day, celebrated on July 13, creative director and chef Joe Calderone and corporate executive chef Frederick Schoen-Kiewert of Serendipity3 created Crème de la Crème Pomme Frites which is now the ‘Most Expensive French Fries’.
So, what is so special about these fries? According to a post shared by the eatery on its official Instagram account, the French Fries are made with upstate Chipperbeck potatoes which are blanched in Dom Perignon Champagne and J LeBlanc French Champagne Ardenne Vinegar.
They are then fried thrice in pure goose fat. Then, they are seasoned with Guerande truffle salt, Urbani summer truffle oil and topped with shaved Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartufello.
The Guinness World Records also shared the video of how the lip-smacking delicacy is being made on their official Instagram handle. “Take a Bite of These $200 French Fries Happy National French Fry Day @serendipity3nyc in New York City have marked the occasion by making the world’s most expensive French fries.
