Three booked for selling banned Chinese manja in Medak district
Medak district police registered three cases against kite sellers for selling banned Chinese manja in Medak and Narsapur towns. Authorities warned of stern action against violators, stressing the grave risks posed to birds, animals, and humans.

Medak: The district police registered three cases against kite sellers caught selling banned Chinese manja in Medak and Narsapur towns on Saturday. Acting on information, police carried out searches at kite shops across the district.
A case was registered against Gopi Madhu in Medak and banned manja was recovered from him. CCS Inspector Rajashekhar Reddy said cases were also booked against Mohammad Abed and Swapna Kirana General Stores in Narsapur town.
In a press statement, the Inspector said stern action would be initiated against anyone found selling or using the banned manja as it posed a grave danger to birds, animals and humans.
SP DV Srinivas Rao said police would carry out regular raids across the district until the kite-flying season was over.
