TJUDA calls off indefinite strike after talks with Telangana Health Minister

The president of TJUDA, Dr. Isaac Newton in a press release said, all the major issues raised by them have been resolved.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Junior Doctors Association (TJUDA) on Sunday night called off their proposed indefinite medical strike from Monday, following successful talks with Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha.

The president of TJUDA, Dr. Isaac Newton in a press release said all the major issues raised by them have been resolved.

“Issues like stipend hike, issuance of budget release order for regularisation of stipends, extension of contracts for Senior Residents, extension of Government Contract Assistant Professors have been met,” he said.

The State government has assured us of improvement in infrastructure and facilities across all medical colleges in Telangana, he said.

“In light of these developments and the government’s responsiveness, we are calling off the proposed strike that was scheduled to begin on June 30,” TJUDA said.
