Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar said the TRS is strong in the Huzurabad constituency and that the cadre need not worry about the party’s future in the Assembly segment following the episode of former Minister Eatala Rajender.

The entire party cadre is with the TRS and there is no doubt in this regard, the Minister said. Stating that the TRS is an ocean, he said no damage would be done to the party if some people decide to leave.

Asking the cadre to follow the instructions of the party leadership, a decision on the future of the constituency would be taken after a discussion with TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao and working president KT Rama Rao very soon.

Kamalakar made these comments during an interaction with party leaders from Huzurabad who met him at his camp office here on Monday. Earlier, he spoke to the media after inaugurating Karimnagar Urban, Rural and Kothapalli Tahsildhar offices on the Collectorate premises.

Kamalakar said so far, action taken against Eatala was on behalf of the government and very soon the party too would take action against him. On Peddapalli Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhukar’s episode, the Minister made it clear that the State government had no connection with Madhukar’s case.

Advocate Gattu Vamana Rao’s father Kishan Rao filed a petition in the High Court alleging that Madhukar was behind the murder of his son Vamana Rao and daughter-in-law PV Nagamani. Based on the HC’s instructions, the Ramagundam police are questioning the ZP Chairman. Law would take its own course, he said.

Talking about the party’s victory in the recent municipal elections, Kamalakar said the strength of the party is increasing by the day. There is no anti-incumbency on the TRS even after seven years of assuming power in the State.

Stating that the recent elections were a referendum for Chandrashekhar Rao’s and State government’s performance, he said the results proved how strong the TRS is in the State. Party candidates are winning polls on the image of the Chief Minister.
