Hyderabad: In a move to help class 10 students in their preparation for SSC Public Examinations, the Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) has decided to provide an e-learning app to budget private schools across the State.

The e-learning app, Ekalavya, comes with video lessons covering State syllabus, examination modules, question and answers, and other features. Students can also attend live classes through the app besides clearing their doubts in any subject.

TRSMA in association with a private company will make this app available to class 10 students free of cost for two months. Apart from class 10 students, the app will be provided to classes 1 to 9 but at a nominal charge. Presently, about 10,000 budget private schools are being operated across the State.

“This new app will help students in their preparation for SSC Public Examinations. It will be free for class 10 students for about two months. We will be launching the app on Monday,” said Y Shekhar Rao, president, TRSMA.

As announced earlier by the Directorate of Government Examinations, the SSC Public Examinations will be conducted from May 17 to 26. This time, class 10 students will have to write six papers instead of existing 11 as the State government reduced the number of question papers for the academic year 2020-21.
