TS Eamcet: All arrangements in place, exams to begin on Wednesday

Hyderabad: A total of 2,51,606 students have registered for the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS Eamcet) 2021 which is slated to commence from Wednesday.
Of the total, 1,64,962 candidates are expected to appear for the engineering stream of the TS Eamcet on August 4, 5 and 6 while another 86,644 students have applied for the AM stream to be held on August 9 and 10.
Both the entrance tests will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm at 105 test centres including 82 in Telangana and 23 in Andhra Pradesh. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad, which is conducting the entrance test, has made it clear to students that they will not be allowed into the examination centres even if they are late by a minute.
The university advised the candidates to take necessary Covid-19 safety precautions including wearing of face mask, sanitisation of hands and maintaining physical distance at the test centre. Students have been prohibited from carrying electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators, watches etc., into the examination halls.
The parents/guardians accompanying the candidates have been asked to stay away from the test centre in order to avoid gathering/crowd from the commencement of the exam till it concludes. “We have made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the entrance test,” TS Eamcet 2021 convener Prof A Govardhan said.
