TS Govt providing timely aid to needy: Jagadish

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was keen on ensuring timely provision of benefits of welfare schemes to Aasara pensioners and beneficiaries of other schemes

Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday said that the State government had been continuing welfare schemes even during the pandemic, which indicated its commitment for the welfare of people. Accompanied by officials, Jagadish Reddy visited the houses of 21 Kalyana Lakshmi beneficiaries at Anantharam and Macharam villages in Penphad mandal and distributed cheques worth Rs 21,02,216.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was keen on ensuring timely provision of benefits of welfare schemes to Aasara pensioners and beneficiaries of other schemes. He pointed out that welfare schemes were implemented even though the State faced financial crisis due to lockdown.

Stating that Kalyana Lakshmi has become a big support to the needy, he said that the schemes which were taken up by the State government had led to attitude change in society towards girls.
