Yadadri Bhongir: Tragedy struck amidst Diwali celebrations in Yadadri Bhongir district with two children drowning in a village pond on Wednesday. The two boys, who were swimming in the Ammanabolu village tank in Mutakondur mandal, failed to make a comeback from the deep waters.
Onlookers also failed to venture to their rescue. One of the victim’s body was retrieved while efforts are on to trace the body of the second boy.
A case was registered by the local police and investigation is on.
