Two burglars arrested in Hyderabad; 145 gm gold, phones, motorcycle recovered

The arrested persons are Habeeb Mohammed alias Chotu and his brother Habeeb Ali

Hyderabad: Two suspects were arrested by the Saidabad police for their alleged involvement in burglaries reported in the city. The police recovered 145 grams of gold, an iphone, a watch, a motorcycle and two mobile phones from them.

The arrested persons are Habeeb Mohammed alias Chotu (37) a plumber and resident of Bismillah colony, Shaheennagar, and his brother Habeeb Ali (49), the receiver of the stolen property.

According to the police, Habeeb Mohammed, notorious property offender was presently involved in a theft case at Saidabad police station. He previously was also involved in 59 property offences in the city. The other person Habeeb Ali, is involved in eight cases.

In July 2024, both of them were arrested by Moghalpura police in connection with a burglary and remanded. After coming out of jail last month, again they started committing burglaries, said the police.

After the burglary at Saidabad, the police formed special teams to track down the suspects. The police zeroed in on Habeeb Mohammed, who went underground and finally managed to arrest him. He was remanded.
