Two pilgrims from Wanaparthy killed in Tamil Nadu road accident
Two Wanaparthy residents died in a road accident near Salem during a pilgrimage tour across South India. One was identified as Yugandhar Reddy, a health worker while the other victim remains unidentified.

Wanaparthy: Two residents of Wanaparthy district were killed in a road accident near Salem in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. The victims were part of a group from Wanaparthy that had set out on a weeklong pilgrimage covering Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
The mishap occurred when the car in which they were travelling met with an accident near Salem, resulting in the deaths of two passengers.
One of the deceased was identified as Yugandhar Reddy, an employee of the Health Department and a native of Dodaguntapalli village in Peddamandadi mandal.
The second victim was a woman from Pamapuram village in Kothakota mandal, whose identity is yet to be confirmed. A third occupant of the car sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.
According to sources, the group was led by Rajavardhan Reddy, owner of Sai Dhaba in Palem, Kothakota mandal. The pilgrims had split into two groups, some travelled by mini-bus while others followed in the car. Salem police have registered a case and taken up the investigation.
