Hyderabad: A two-year-old boy died after being attacked by stray dogs near his house at Bada Bazaar in Golconda on Tuesday night.
The boy, Anas Ahmed, a resident of Bada Bazaar in Golconda had stepped out of his house and walked a few metres when a few dogs attacked him and tried to drag him away. On hearing his cries, local people rushed and chased the dogs away.
The child was rushed to a local hospital and later shifted to Niloufer Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Local people said the dogs usually take shelter in the military area during the day and stray into colonies in the evenings in search of food and attack people.
On coming to know about the incident, teams of the GHMC veterinary wing moved into the area and caught a few dogs during the day.
