Two-year-old girl suffers serious injuries in street dog attack in Kothagudem
A two-year-old girl was seriously injured in a stray dog attack at Gauthami Colony in Burgampadu. Locals blamed gram panchayat officials for inaction despite repeated complaints about attacks by street dogs and monkeys on residents and livestock.
Kothagudem: A two-year-old girl was attacked and bitten by a street dog at Gauthami Colony at Burgampadu mandal headquarters in the district on Saturday.
The incident occurred when the girl, Eshika, was playing at home. The child was taken to a local hospital with serious bleeding injuries and was being treated by doctors.
The locals were complaining that the gram panchayat officials and staff remained inactive even as monkeys and street dogs had been attacking the residents, cattle and poultry.
