Mulugu: Two youths washed away in Jampannavagu rivulet near Medaram in SS Tadwai mandal on Monday. The deceased were identified as Bangaru Shyamala Rao (24) and Udumudi Koteshwar Rao (30) of Kotha Kondapuram village of Manuguru mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.

The two had come to Medaram to have darshan at Sammakka-Sarakka shrine, and ventured into the rivulet to take a holy dip. But they were washed away by the strong current due to recent rains. Local police have taken up a search operation to trace the missing youths.
