Virtusa opens Covid-19 care isolation centre at Hyderabad campus
The 30-bed 24/7 facility will open for team members, family members and Virtusa customers; the company plans to open similar facilities across major campuses in India
Hyderabad: IT company Virtusa Corporation opened its 24/7 Covid-19 care isolation facility at Hyderabad campus. This facility will initially serve team members, their family members and customers of Virtusa. The company is in the process of launching similar facilities across its major office campuses in India.
Recently, Virtusa launched a Covid Care Portal and a mobile app for its team members and this facility marks the next set of initiatives. The isolation facility at the campus will have 30 beds, showers and washrooms, and nutritional covid recovery diet for those admitted.
Sundar Narayanan, the chief people officer of Virtusa, said, “We have introduced several initiatives under our Covid Care Cover for our team members, their families and our clients. This facility is another step in our efforts to extend the best possible care to our team members.”
Doctors and nursing staff at site are from Renova Hospitals, overseen by a medical officer. All staff members at the facility will have the mandatory PPE kits and all other safety measures as prescribed by the government.
All patients will be given regular monitoring by doctors, nurses and essential medication provided. The patients in the isolation facility will be treated and monitored by doctors and nurses of Renova Hospitals. The partnership is expected to provide immediate assistance to those who need it.
