Warangal: With the State government likely to release notification for recruitment in the police department soon, the Warangal police commissionerate authorities have decided to conduct free coaching classes for job aspirants. This is the third time that Warangal police are conducting free coaching for the benefit of youngsters from the underprivileged sections of society.

“We will provide free coaching to financially backward youth to facilitate large number of youngsters from Warangal to succeed in the examinations conducted for recruitment in the Police Department. A total of six coaching centres are being set up under the Warangal Police Commissionerate limits for this purpose,” Warangal police commissioner Dr Tarun Joshi said on Friday.

While they had planned for two centres in Warangal, one each in Hanmakonda, Narsampeta, Parkal and Jangaon towns for free coaching centers will offer the coaching classes.

“Aspirants have to first complete their application form with their full details at the local police station. They should bring two passport photos with them, and submit their applications by September 28. Those who applied for admission into the coaching classes must appear for the qualifying examination to be held on September 30 at Warangal, Hanamkonda, Narsampeta, Parkal and Jangaon towns. This test is conducted in a multiple choice manner. Candidates will be selected for free coaching based on the merit marks obtained in this qualifying examination,” Dr Joshi said and called upon the youth to take up this opportunity provided by the Warangal Commissionerate police and achieve jobs in the police department.

It may be recalled here that a total of 121 people had secured police constable jobs against the total of 230 people trained by the police under the Sumarg-1 programme initiated by the Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu in 2017.

While Dr Vsihwanath Ravinder was the police commissioner, 300 candidates were selected for the free coaching by the Warangal police, and of which 254 have got jobs, predominantly in the Police Department. Who availed coaching, 40 clinched sub-inspector posts, 165 constables and 49 in other Central and State government jobs under Sumarg-2 programme. A Reserve Inspector, Muddasani Sampath Kumar, played a key role in running the coaching classes in the past. The free coaching at the Sumarg programme was also helpful for those preparing for the other competitive exams of the State and Central governments. The aspirants were also provided physical training for the police jobs as a part of the coaching classes. This people-friendly initiative is aimed at fulfilling government job dreams of those less fortunate, engaging subject experts from Hyderabad and other parts, said a police official.
