Warangal Rural: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Zilla Parsihad and incharge District Welfare Officer (DWO) A Raja Rao distributed grocery kits containing 16 essential items worth Rs 1,250 each to the children of five families where a mother or father or both died of Covid-19 at Bandauthapur village of Wardhannapet mandal in the district on Friday. He also handed over Rs 1,000 cash to each family.
Speaking on the occasion, Raja Rao said that people should inform the officials of the child welfare wing about the children, who lost their mother or father or both due to Covid-19 to get the aid from the government.
“The government will work to provide rehabilitation, education and shelter to those children,” he said adding that they had identified 45 children aged below 18 years from 25 Covid infected families in the district and submitted a report to the District Collector for aid. MPP Annamneni Appa Rao, ZPTC Margam Bikshapathi, MPDO Rajyalakshmi, CDPO Sridevi, DCPO G Mahender Reddy, ACDPO Udaya, Sarpanch Sunkari Sambaiah and others were present.
