Warangal: SR University hosts 24-hour hackathon with over 100 teams
SR University in Warangal hosted a 24-hour internal hackathon as part of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2025) initiative, drawing participation from over 100 student teams. The event featured five evaluation rounds, culminating in the selection of 50 top teams.

Warangal: SR University organised the 24-hour SIH-2025 Internal Hackathon in which over 100 student teams enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity, problem-solving and technical skills.
The event, which started at 9 am on September 13, concluded at 9 am on September 14, bringing together the brightest young innovators. It featured five rounds of evaluations, where participants presented innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
After rigorous assessment, 50 top-performing teams were shortlisted to move forward. The participants included B Tech second, third and final year students from all branches,
The SRU Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mahesh Vutukuru, Dr. Sheshikala Martha, Dr. Rupesh Mishra, Dr. Suresh Kumar Mandala and Dr. Anirudh motivated the students with their guidance and encouragement. More than 40 faculty members mentored students with technical support.
Industry experts, Datta Sai Tanuj V, a software engineer III at JPMorgan Chase and Co., and Jayapal Reddy Uradi, tech lead at Skyhigh Security joined the hackathon to guide and inspire the students with their industry insights and expertise.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mahesh appreciated the students for their enthusiasm and creativity, emphasising that such platforms nurture the spirit of innovation and prepare students for national-level competitions like the Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2025).
