Hyderabad: While there is no specific meal plan that defines fertility diet, however, in the context of reproductive health, a well-balanced diet with special focus on reproductive health and wellness cannot be emphasised enough, mother and child health experts in Hyderabad said.

The fertility diet is the foundation of reproductive wellness, providing essential nutrients necessary for conception, pregnancy, and overall health. By emphasising well-balanced intake of key nutrition’s like vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients, women can create optimal health and promote the development of a well-nourished baby.

Dr Attar said that a fertility diet consists of a full nutritional steed designed to increase reproductive health and fertility. The nutritional method is important in the preparation of the body before conception and during healthy pregnancy, emphasising certain nutrients crucial for maternal and fetal health.

Essential nutritional needs in pregnant women encompass a variety of vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients including folic acid, iron, calcium, and omega-3 fatty acids, with each playing an important role towards the well-being of mother and child.

Iron: Facilitates the generation of red blood cells required for oxygen carriage
