Woman bludgeoned with hammer by stalker in Suryapet

A woman in Suryapet was brutally attacked with a hammer by a man whose marriage proposal she had rejected. The incident has sparked fear among residents.

Nalgonda: A man, whose proposal was rejected, brutally bludgeoned a woman with a hammer in Suryapet. The incident occurred at the woman’s residence in Snehanagar, Suryapet, on Thursday.

The accused has been identified as B Mahesh, a resident of Lingampally village in Nutankal mandal.

For the last few days, the victim had been staying alone in Suryapet. The accused barged into the woman’s house while she was alone. Following an argument, he attacked the victim with a hammer, striking her on the head and causing grievous injuries.

After hearing her screams, locals rushed to her rescue and caught hold of the accused. They tied him to a pole and informed the police, reports said.

The victim was initially shifted to the local government hospital. However, on doctors’ advice, she was referred to a hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment. The incident triggered panic among residents in the area, reports added.
