Woman caught smuggling 13.3 kg hydroponic ganja from Bangkok at Hyderabad airport
The DRI Hyderabad unit apprehended a woman arriving from Bangkok at RGI Airport carrying 13.3 kg of hydroponic ganja valued at approximately Rs. 13.3 crore. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the broader network involved in this case.
Hyderabad: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Hyderabad unit caught a woman at RGI Airport and seized 13.3 kg of hydroponic ganja. The value of the ganja is around Rs. 13.3 crore.
The woman arrived from Bangkok to RGI Airport, Hyderabad, carrying a bag. On suspicion, the DRI officials thoroughly searched the baggage of the woman and found 20 packets containing cannabis.
“Field testing confirmed the substance as hydroponic ganja. A case was registered against the lady under NDPS Act and she was sent to judicial remand,” said DRI official.
Further investigation is going on to identify the forward links of the case.
