Hyderabad: A footpath dweller was murdered, allegedly by his wife, at Chandrayangutta on Monday night.
According to the police, the man Mohd Sohail lived along with his wife Reshma on the pavement near the government school on Chandrayangutta road. The duo earned their livelihood by begging on the streets.
“According to the local people, the two were addicted to toddy and whitener liquid. On Monday evening, they had a fight and around 9.30 pm, Reshma strangulated Sohail to death with a scarf and escaped from the place,” said Rudra Bhaskar, SHO, Chandrayangutta. The police took into custody Reshma early on Tuesday and are questioning her.
