Yoga a tool to combat stress
The aim of Yoga Day 2021 was to enhance awareness of practicing Yoga and the many benefits it provides.

The International Yoga Day was celebrated with much fervour and enthusiasm at Gitanjali Vedika. We believe in the overall development of a child and thus focus on the physical and mental wellbeing of students through Yoga, the school said.
The aim of Yoga Day 2021 was to enhance awareness of practicing Yoga and the many benefits it provides. The school said that it wanted to create a love for Yoga among the children and it was achieved through competitions that were conducted on June 19.
The preliminary round required students to display twelve asanas in the Surya Namaskar, to the best of their ability. The top students were shortlisted from each class and a final round was conducted over the weekend.
Students were awarded certificates for their wonderful demonstrations. Students were explained the importance of Yoga and that it provides physical benefits such as improved strength, balance, and flexibility.
It also improves heart health and provides pain relief. It is one of the most effective ways to combat stress, improve mood and promote relaxation. Students were very enthusiastic and the coalition of efforts from the management, staff, parents, and students made this event a huge success.
