Youngster dies after eating ice cream in Hyderabad
Based on a complaint from the family, the Nacharam police have registered a case of suspicious death and started an investigation
Hyderabad: A youngster died allegedly a few hours after he ate a strawberry flavoured ice cream from Nacharam here on Friday. It is suspected that he died due to over-eating.
Police said, Sai Sampath (20), who works for a food delivery service, had ordered a one litre packet of strawberry flavored ice cream and ate more than 90 per cent of it before going to sleep around midnight on Thursday. Around 3 am on Friday, he suddenly experienced breathlessness and made a loud noise, following which his father Mallesh ran to him. He started vomiting, after which an ambulance was called in. The ambulance staff checked and declared that he was dead by then.
Based on a complaint from the family, the Nacharam police have registered a case of suspicious death and started an investigation.
