Hyderabad: Zoom Communications has unveiled major enhancements to its AI Companion, introducing agentic AI features that integrate seamlessly with 16 third-party applications. The Custom AI Companion add-on, now available online, empowers users to automate workflows, improve collaboration, and extend AI-driven productivity across platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, Asana, Google Meet, and Box.
The new agentic capabilities allow Zoom AI Companion to initiate and complete tasks across connected platforms—enabling users to stay within the Zoom interface while updating projects, generating documents, summarizing meetings, or resolving service tickets.
“With Zoom AI Companion’s agentic skills, users will see a significant productivity boost — not just in Zoom, but across essential apps,” said Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom.
The Custom AI Companion can now summarize meetings on Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, generate personalized meeting notes using pre-built templates, and create AI-generated video clips through custom avatars.
Key capabilities include:
- Automated document updates through Google Drive, Confluence, and Notion.
- Project status changes and task assignments via Asana and Jira.
- Support for recruiting workflows via Workday.
- Integration with communication apps for summarizing and sharing content.
- In-person meeting summaries via a new voice recorder feature.
Priced at $12 per user/month with paid Zoom Workplace plans, the add-on targets small businesses, consultants, and educators seeking centralized meeting intelligence and cross-platform AI integration.
Zoom’s expanded AI Companion experience now includes real-time phone call queries, automatic agenda generation, document summarization in chat, and seamless asset sharing via Zoom Calendar.
