Hyderabad: A moving car caught fire on Road No. 10 in Banjara Hills on Friday afternoon. The driver managed to escape on seeing flames from the engine.
Police said the incident occurred around 2 pm, when the car was proceeding from Jubilee Hills side towards Banjara Hills. Motorists passing by alerted the fire department, following which a fire engine rushed to the spot and doused the fire immediately. The car was gutted in the fire.
A short circuit in the engine is suspected to have led to the fire. The Banjara Hills police are investigating.
