11 arrested for black marketing Remdesivir in Suryapet
Police seized 30 Remdesivir vials from their possessions

Suryapet: In a joint operation, sleuths of Central Crime Station (CCS) and Suryapet Town police station on Monday arrested 11 persons for black marketing of Remdesivir vials and seized 30 Remdesivir vials from their possessions.
The arrested were identified as Guddeti Madhava Reddy(26), Pandiri Karthhek Reddy(26), a native of Athmakur(S), Madde narsimha Raju(35), a native of Suryapet town, Nimmanagoti Srinu (23 ), a native of Machanapally of Nuthankal mandal, Gopaladas Pavan Kalyan(21), a native of Bhakthalapur of Penphad mandal, Vallapu Naresh(34), a native of Maddirala, Jaldi Saida Babu(31) and Vimalapangu Ramesh(28), natives of Ratnapuram of Nadigudem mandal in Suryapet district, Sugunavath Vinod Kumar Naik(25), a native of Erragundupalem village of Pamulaphad mandal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh state, Maddimadugu Ramesh(28), a native of Chennaminenipally of Kondamallepally mandal, Pangothu Ranga (26), a native of Palugu Thanda of Tripuraram mandal in Nalgonda district. Another accused Gopaldas Sai (23) of Bhakthal village is absconding.
Presenting the arrested before the media here, Deputy Superintendent of Police S Mohan Kumar said that on credible information about the black marketing of Remdesivir injections, the police took managers of two private hospitals into custody and interrogated them.
Based on the inputs given by them, the police picked up the remaining nine persons involved in the illegal act from the outskirts of Suryapet town. They were selling each Remdesivir vial at a cost of Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 to the needy persons. The police are also probing the source of the Remdesivir injections.
