Hyderabad: Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills, organised Mindopedia II – The Quest of Knowledge, an inter-school online quiz for grades I to VIII. Twenty schools from the city participated in this competition.
Scientist Manish Kumar Raushan was the chief guest for the inaugural event as well as for the valediction ceremony. The inaugural ceremony started with the lighting of the lamp and the welcome dance by the students. Principal Sunitha Rao introduced the chief guest and his achievements as a scientist at DRDO. She later welcomed all the participants and wished them luck for the competition. Headmistress Neetu Gupta Puri articulated that healthy competition boosts one’s talent, skill and inculcates the qualities of sportsmanship, teamwork, and cooperation.
The preliminary round was conducted at various levels on July 2. There were multiple rounds like Around the World, Mapology, Ad-Mad, Discoveries and Inventions, and so on. Students participated enthusiastically and with a great competitive spirit. The top four scorers reached the second level.
The final round was conducted on June 3, which included the rapid-fire round. It was indeed a tough competition among the students. Tie-breakers were also held. This was followed by a valediction ceremony, where vice-principal Gowri Venkatesh of DPS, Nacharam announced the winners and congratulated them for their stupendous performance. She stated that every participant is a winner irrespective of any result. The chief guest shared his words of wisdom with the august gathering. The principals, headmistresses, and participants too spoke and shared their experiences.
