Hyderabad: More than 5,400 MBA seats in the convener quota lie vacant after seat allotment in the final phase counselling of the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) 2021.

The Technical Education department on Friday released the seat allotment orders for candidates who took part in the final phase counselling of the TS ICET 2021.


While there were 25,288 MBA seats in 265 institutions in the State, 19,867 seats were allocated to students leaving 5,421 vacant. As for MCA admissions, out of 2,576 convener quota seats in 42 colleges 2,535 were allotted and 41 remained vacant. According to details released by the department, 51,316 candidates qualified in the TS ICET 2021 held for admissions into MBA and MCA courses offered by the colleges in the State. Of the total qualified, 26,289 candidates got their certificates verified and 12,974 students exercised web options for provisional allotment of seats in the final phase of counselling. A total of 1,937 students could not be allotted seats as they exercised a limited number of web options. This time, 32 colleges received 100 per cent seat allotments.

The last date for payment of tuition fee and self-reporting online is November 27. The provisional allotted seat stands cancelled if students fail to pay the tuition fee and self-report online before the deadline. Students should also report at the allotted college on December 1 otherwise their provisional allotment order will be cancelled automatically and candidates will have no claim on the allotment made.

Meanwhile, registration and slot booking for certificate verification for special round ICET 2021 admission counselling is scheduled on November 28 and 29. Certificate verification is on November 29 and web options will be available on November 29. Students will be allotted seats on November 30 and they have to pay tuition fee, self-report online through the website and report at the allotted college on December 1.
