5K run organized to mark Police Commemoration Day in Adilabad
Around 1,500 participants, including youth and fitness enthusiasts, took part in a 5K run in Adilabad to commemorate Police Commemoration Day. SP Akhil Mahajan flagged off the run, praising policemen for their sacrifices in maintaining peace and security.

Adilabad: A 5K run was organized to mark the Police Commemoration Day, here on Friday. Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan inaugurated the event by flagging off the run.
Around 1,500 people including fitness lovers and youngsters took part in the run which began at Indira Priyadarshini stadium and passed through important junctions of the town. The event culminated at the stadium after covering the collectorate, NTR, Vinayak, Nethaji and Ambedkar chowks. Akhil Mahajan took part in the run to inspire the participants and public.
Speaking on the occasion, Akhil said that the district was now experiencing peace and development due to sacrifices made by policemen in the line of duty. He stated that the sacrifices were unforgettable. He informed that policemen were risking their lives to ensure peace and tranquility of the region. He hailed policemen who laid down lives.
Additional SP B Surender Rao, DSPs P Srinivas, L Jeevan Reddy, K Indravadan, Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors from several parts of the district participated in the event.
