To commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the students of classes I and II enjoyed the week-long celebration with great enthusiasm. Beginning with ‘Movie Mash-up’, the entire week was packed with an array of activities like ‘Dumb Charades’, ‘Let’s get Crafty’ and ‘Action Replay’.

On November 13, children witnessed the teachers presenting an exclusive virtual assembly for them. The teachers presented the children with a bouquet of mesmerizing items like skits, songs and a magic show. Much to their delight, there also was a marvelous puppet show put up by teachers on this occasion. The highlight of the assembly was ‘Pride of Junior Wing’ which displayed beautiful pictures of children with the tagline ‘We are unique, Yet we are one….’.

Principal Sunitha Rao graced the event and spoke about the importance of the right to education, care, and safe childhood. Headmistress Uma Kasinadhuni also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the principal for greeting students and marking her presence. She welcomed students and urged them to enjoy their childhood to the fullest. The day became special as all the children were invited to school after more than a year of online school.

The children-friendly ambiance was observed as the teachers conducted showers of various events and programmes, especially for the kids. The agenda of the programme was– just to get on with the flow and cherish the moments for the rest of the life. It’s worth mentioning about the JAM games – the spectators witnessed the blooming buds hop up and finish off the game. The sparkling glee on the children’s faces, on seeing their classes and meeting their teachers was something one could ever wish to miss. The day came to an end as all children were given some valuable gifts as a token of love from their teachers.
